Private Business, Inc. and Confluent Technologies Enter Into Marketing Agreement for BankIQ Intelligence Services
NASHVILLE, Tennessee: October 29, 2003 - Private Business, Inc. (NASDAQ:PBIZ), a leading provider of cash flow and retail inventory management solutions for community banks and small businesses, today announced that it has signed a marketing agreement with Confluent Technologies, which provides business intelligence and knowledge management solutions. Under the agreement, Private Business (PBI) will be a Certified Confluent Business Associate and, as such, will work together with Confluent Technologies to sell its BankIQ solution, a business intelligence service specifically tailored to serve the needs of the banking industry.
Confluent's BankIQ provides banks with the power to aggregate, process and visualize data from multiple sources across any platform. The BankIQ service allows bank executives to analyze many crucial elements of their organization that directly impact risk, profitability, and productivity. This includes critical elements such as loan portfolios, which helps them to manage interest rate risk, total exposure, maturity schedules, nominal rates, and many other key metrics. Confluent's unique approach to solving the business intelligence dilemma begins by helping executives spot trends, identify potential problems, and create proactive - not reactive - strategies.
Henry Baroco, Chief Executive Officer of PBI, said, "As a Certified Confluent Business Associate, we have access to a wide variety of benefits designed to help build our business and increase revenues. We believe this will be a great opportunity for us to enhance our relationships with existing customers and to attract new business. We believe that Confluent Technologies is a highly respected company, and we expect this agreement to allow us to become even more competitive."
"Our BankIQ services will provide PBI's customers with the ability to gain deeper insight and understanding into their critical business needs," said John Leehy, Chief Executive Officer of Confluent Technologies. "Through the BankIQ service, banking executives will be able to spot trends, analyze profitability, and make key business decisions to have a positive impact on their operations. Our unique approach is non-invasive to a bank's existing infrastructure and allows regional banks to better compete with larger national institutions by deciphering the knowledge hidden within their transactional systems. We look forward to expanding our relationship with PBI and delivering a truly innovative solution."
